check out these requirements carefully...
These REQUIRED assignments will be due each month. Basically I ask you to find a recent news article of your choice related to science. You will summarize the article, and then you will tell me what you learned and what should be done about the topic. I also want you to identify three science-related vocabulary words and write their definitions.
Find and read one NEWS article that focuses on science, which is generally defined as “the study and understanding of the physical and natural world and its phenomena.”

Find and read one NEWS article that focuses on science, which is generally defined as “the study and understanding of the physical and natural world and its phenomena.”
- The news article can be about any interesting science topic, including cells, the human body, medicine, genetics, matter, climate, astronomy, Earth, or chemistry.
- NO WIKIPEDIA OR SIMILAR SOURCE – THESE ARE NOT NEWS ARTICLES!
- Please do not submit weather reports because they do not explain the science of weather.
- Look for articles in a newspaper, a recent magazine, or on the Internet (see feeds below).
- The article must be no more than 1 month old.
- Use this form! It has the grading rubric on it! (5 points off if it’s not used.)
- Assignments turned in past the due date will have points deducted for being late. Late reports must be turned in before the next month’s assignment is due, otherwise the late report will not be accepted.
- The assignment is worth 30 points. You must fill out the rubric on the first page of the form!
